Seeking Parent Leaders!
We are all about growing local connections between parents in Waitakere, because knowing and spending time with other parents can help in lots of ways. We would love you to join us!
If you live in Waitakere, you are parenting a child or children under 5 years of age, and you are interested in holding small weekly meetups in your neighbourhood, we want to talk to you about becoming a Parent Leader.
What To Expect
We will support you to design and set up your own weekly meet-up. This could be spending an hour at your local playground with a few other parents and their kids, or hanging out at a nearby cafe, or just about anything else you like.
The way that we will support you is at monthly support sessions with the programme team and the other Parent Leaders, as well as one on one coaching from one of the programme team members.
There will be around 20 Parent Leaders in your group, and the monthly support sessions will be an awesome opportunity to build supportive friendships with other Parent Leaders.
You’ll be volunteering your time - however, a monthly $120 grocery voucher will be given as recognition of the time and effort you are putting in.
We will support you to promote your activity on and offline. We will print any flyers, posters, and other printed material you need. We will also provide you with various kinds of signage for your meet-up.
